Reviewed by Stuart on 28/12/2011 Don't ever buy this product. It is highly dangerous as well as having multiple design flaws. The control knobs are too hot to touch; the heat generated by the exterior is so intense you need windows and doors open and a fan to bear being near it; the grill requires a shield that prevents you from seeing the food you are grilling and becomes unbearably hot; the grill pan handles are dangerously unstable; the oven takes too long to light resulting in gas flooding the area. We had it installed in a brand new kitchen for Christmas. On Christmas Eve the gas fitter recommended it be disconnected due to the danger of the high heat burning the gas seals and possibly leading to gas leaks. It ruined Christmas cooking and CDA could care less as they were on holiday! If they do not take it back and return our money, this is the first foray of an ever escalating campaign to make sure the whole world knows CDA has no qualms about selling dangerous appliances that are unfit for the purpose they are sold. Reviewed by Pierre on 10/07/2010 I have owned this product for 14 months. It continually burns baking on the underside although I have followed advice given by CDA. I agree the knobs are too hot when the oven is on. I would not recommend this appliance to anyone, not even my worst enemy! Rating:
Reviewed by cahill on 08/05/2008 do not buy this product very hard to ignite oven cuts off and gets way to hot has gas smell food cooked on bottom burns had loads of service calls but supplier took it back you also have to use guards when usuing grill knobs get to hot to handle loads of other faults no fan to cool down not easy to clean Rating:
Reviewed by Taylor on 11/01/2008 This is one of the worst products my family has purchased. It cost £900.00 and should not be on sale. Some of the faults with it are: In order to get either over to work you have to turn the gas on an hold the pilot light it for 20/30 seconds - this is a long time and as usually happens, the pilot light is erratic in its workings so you can end up gassing yourself and those around you during this time. The oven temperature scale is unique - stupid if you prefer. It is neither a standard gas temperature range or an electric Faranehet or Celsius grading. Therefore you do not know what temperature to set it to, You cannot cook food on a standard baking tray in the oven as it burns on the bottom. You have to put it on a cooling tray like grid then onto a baking tray. In order to use the grill you have to attach a wide metal skirt to the outside of the oven and leave the door open - this looks a complete mess and limits space in front of the oven. What an atrocious product. CDA should withdraw this from sale Rating:
