We had the fire brigade out yesterday as oven would not stop smoking. When they removed the oven they found a big smouldering hole in our kitchen floor.

potential death trap. Faulty insulation Burnt a hole in my floor. Have three children and my house could have gone up in flames.

I can not belive that they put vents in the bottom of the oven which has just burnt a hole in my brand new flooring ! What a bad design ! !

To avoid melting of the plastic knobs Belling recommends use of a shield when grilling - a real bother. The interior shelves have a liner to avoid anything dropping on the heating element, which restricts where you can place the shelves. Despite asking if this was an easy clean product, it isn't - standard ceramic liners are very difficult to clean because of bumps and lumps in the roof. One to avoid.
