Reviewed by Roy on 26/07/2011First got one 7 months ago and made good coffee, I took it back due to leaking from stem nozzle. Machine number 2 immediately poured water out the bottom due to a split hose internally so that went back. Machine 3 absolute rubbish, struggles to put the water through the coffee and the steamer very poor so this is going back and I am giving up. I really was impressed by the first machine but DeLonghi have to improve there quality control it is too late on this machine for me as I tend not to flog dead horses for too lng. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Cliff on 23/09/2010 Dreadful machine, very random on what you get, I've had it six months, sometimes you get a reasonable cup of coffee mosstly you get a cup of hot coffee flavored water. Recently all I get is drips from the steamer taking an age to fill the cup, but at least it is strong. I'm off to buy a proper machine at the weekend, this one is going to the skip as it is not fit for purpose. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE YOU WILL REGRET IT! Rating: ![]() Reviewed by HEIDI on 18/12/2009 I'VE JUST BOUGHT ONE FOR CHRISTMAS AND THOUGHT I'D ROAD TEST IT AND GUESS WHAT ITS VERY NOISY AND LEAKS PURFUSLEY FROM THE STEAMER NOZZEL.NOT MANAGED AN EXSPRESSO YET AS ALL THE WATERS FLOWING OUT OF THE STEAMER. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Paul on 10/07/2009 This machine has several drawbacks - if you use mild coffee e.g. 3 out of 5 strength say, it produces very weak capuccino and espresso that is far too weak to be drinkable. Moreover, even if you use strong coffee you need to load it with a two cup portion of coffee in order to get even a single decent cup of coffee out of it. I have a much cheaper Delonghi machine from 8 yrs ago and although slower, made of plastic and much noisier, it works much more efficiently in terms of the number of cups made per unit coffee. Unlike my cheaper old machine this one lacks any means of adjusting the strength of the coffee produced - this is a serious ommission. I am disappointed because I bought it as a birthday present for my mother and I've had to help her to find a way to get it to make a decent cup of coffee. Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Hank on 08/12/2008 Hugely disappointing. Leaks profusely from steam nozzle even when it's only on coffee setting. Once you've used steam, it still drips a good half-cupful onto your worktops and then drips hot water from the main dispenser. It started out well, but within 2 weeks the steam was half power and all round pretty useless. Major bad points also: cannot fit a cup under the nozzle for filling capuccino and the whole machine vibrates so violently when dispensing, the espresso cups roll off the platform anyway. Absolute worst I've had ang going back today! Rating: ![]() Reviewed by L MCD on 02/12/2007 Reliable.........Work from home and needless to say drink a lot of coffee. This machine produces instant steam and near instant hot water for all your coffee favourites this will not let you down. I have had this coffee maker 5 months. Previous reviewer must of had a faulty machine Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Martin on 14/05/2007 Made 3 or 4 really good cups then performance went down hill fast. We have only had this a week and steam system deteriorated in output then stopped working by the end of the week and it wasn't even used every day! Rating: ![]()
