Reviewed by Victor Moore on 09/10/2008 My bread maker has been used every day for the last 2 and a half years. Until last week it has made perfect bread. 4 Loves ago the flower was not mixed properly followed by 2 perfect loaves... then the last loaf was again not mixed properly. I think it will now go for re-cycling. The bread was so good that this bread maker will be replaced by another one of the same type. Rating:
Reviewed by Joanne- Birmingham on 20/03/2008 I read the reviews before choosing this machine & I would say they were pretty much 50-50 but all said made great bread. I chose to go for it and the 1st one arrived all smashed up with the leg missing off the bottom. I sent it back and had a replacement which was now no. 2. I unpacked it & it looked fine, no damage and I began preparing my 1st white loaf as per the instructions. What can I say, excellent results and fantastic tasting bread, I was so impressed especially as it was my 1st loaf ever. An hour later I added the ingredients for a granary loaf & left the machine to do the work taking a peak every 10-15 minutes. I was impressed with the viewing window and the light. About 20 minutes before my granary was done I pressed the light on to check it and the light blew which made a slight bang and then the machine turned off completely. I transferred my nearly done loaf to the oven to finish off and tried the machine again but it never switched back on. I arrange d for no. 2 to be returned and no. 3 was on its way. Rather than bore you with the details, exactly the same happened to no. 3 i.e. turned on the light to check kneading process about 10 minutes in and guess what, yep - it switched off exactly the same as the 2nd one. You would think I'd have given up on the breville now wouldnt you, well no I have'nt. To be honest I was that impressed with the qaulity of the bread that I am now waiting for machine no. 4. Surely this cannot be the same unless the company i have purchased from have had a faulty batch. Anyway, I will add a further review when I receive & I've baked a few loafs, thats if it still works but if it doesnt, there will not be a NO. 5. Hope this helps. Rating:
