i have the powered version of this mower i've used it for 1 summer and now the cover will not stay on the front, the engine is idling eraticly and it smokes when i start it. i would not buy another but it does make life easy not having to empty a bag or take the waste to the tip. i used an empress (mountfield)for years it was great they don't make them like they used to. i thought the drive engage was going to be the part to giveup when i bought it (if you have one you will understand)but it may be the engine or the carb. that puts the nail in its coffin. its not a cheap mower so i think it should last longer than a year. i'm going to call the number on the mower to see how good the customer service is my guess is the garantee will cover nothing other than a lightning strike

Fantastic value! I use it commercially, probably about 6 to 8 hours a week in spring and summer and on some rough stuff too. Its lasted far longer than I could have hoped and has coped with some abuse on our school site. It has hit bits of metal and stones and started up again every time when I have been expecting the worst. I recon its paid for itself many times over. Its light and manouverableand gets used on banks and be swivelled to almost act as a strimmer over kirb edges.very easy to adjust as we have severely bumpy grass to deal with in places and hight goes up and down like a yo yo. the cut quality is good for meduium grass and does mulch very well. light to push and has never not started. It has finally given up the ghost after a very hard 18 months. All in all a great machine for the price.

Huge lawn on steep gradient. This is an excellent machine, quite light as no self drive system or grass bag to carry around. Also very powerful, cuts through long thich grass with ease. My first lawn mower and i have used it for a few months and its been great.
