Reviewed by Dave in Ashtead on 21/10/2011 I bought one for my business in June and it’s been nothing but trouble. At first I noticed it was slower than my other Hayter’s and found out the new model has been slowed compared with older versions. This is noticeable over big or many lawn cuts. I complained and it has had bigger gears & pulleys fitted but immediately the gearbox broke. My supplier said that this often happens with them and this was confirmed by a gardener I met who said that his broke after about 2 months. Since then the drive mechanism has also broken twice. At one point in August, it had cut 8 lawns and been back to the supplier 4 times. Without the bigger gears & pulleys it was noticeably slower than my other Hayter mowers. Rating:
Reviewed by david in leeds on 04/08/2010 i have had one of these for about ten years now, its used profesionaly all day and speeded up it has never let me down dispite my very rough treatment, things have needed replacing but thats normal under my extreem handling, now it is smoking and a bit worn out but i think that is due to me speeding it up to maximum revs so it drives faster, i was going to buy a pro but the only difference i could see was handle bar struts and a bumper bar, i think the engines etc are the same...unless someone knows different,,,the new ones are not very good,, so all the reviews say,,now i am trolling ebay for an old hayter that has been used privately, i would recommend this mower Rating:
