Reviewed by Susie on 21/03/2007 Well, I suppose I'm just lucky ours worked for two summers before the engine overheated and burnt out. Rating:
Reviewed by Mike Parker on 30-05-2005 What an awful machine. The theory is good, collect the grass in a box on top of the blade housing. Problem is you need a strong fan to do that, that produces NOISE, deafening. The underside chamber forever got clogged when the grass was in the slightest bit damp. Took longer to clean the machine than it did to cut the grass. The grass box never held a full load before it lifted the lid and cut the motor. Now been consigned to the great compost heap in the sky. Will never buy a Flymo mower again. Rating:
Reviewed by Nick Robinson on 02-05-2005 Bank Holiday Monday and the blasted thing sounds funny and starts smoking. I never liked the fussy design of this mower and didn't think the plastic collection basket and lid would last long, however this overheating problem is a basic engineering design fault in a product that's just too... "suburban".
I was "between dogs" when this was bought. Never buy this type of mower if there's a trace of doggy-doos left on your lawn: unless the grass is dried to a frazzle you always have to clear wet mulch from the innards.
Sorry Dad, for forgetting your advice 30+ years ago never to buy a Flymo. Rating:
Reviewed by Sean Kelly on 29-04-2004 Less than a year old (lost reciept) and the thing packed up engine just over heats, no will repair it and i get comments of "well that will teach you to buy a flymow, they have a wearhouse full of returns. P.S last flymow lasted 4 years and blew up. It's a lot less bother without a hover. Rating:
