Confession I actually have the Rotak 43, but it has the same 1700 watt motor, and 50 litre collection box, just 43 instead of 40cm wide, and 20m of cable instead of 15m. It's light rather than robust, but tough enough to last many years if you're not rough with it. It cost (£132 Tesco online) twice as much as my previous Flymo Compact 330, but worth every penny, a far superior machine. It has 11 selectable heights, 5 would be enough, 3 probably not enough, the old flymo had none, unless you took of the blade and added or removed washers. It's so light (12.5kg) you don't need self propelled like a petrol, and so low maintenance and easy to start compared to a petrol. It also won Which? Best Buy. Good value for money. If I had to gripe, I would say the collector box doesn't empty that easily it takes a little shacking up and down, but it's nothing really.
