Reviewed by jim buckingham england on 24/12/2009 a proper portable bbq. perfect cooking results every time, built to last.suggest greasing legs with copper grease makes it easy to remove them. I can reccomend this appliance as a very good portable. Oh by the way I have been caravaning and using bbq's since the early sixty's Rating:
Reviewed by Mike Batchelor, Nuneaton, England on 04/07/2008 I have been using BBQ's for over 35 years, A while ago my wife and I decided to spend a month in France touring with our caravan. We own 3 other gas BBQ's and use all of them but as we were going to be touring I found the PortaChef to be perfect for the job as it takes bu a couple of minutes to collapse and put in the boot of the car. I bought one and instantly noticed that the build quality is of the highest standard. Then I began to cook on it and found it to be excellent. I am more than delighted with it and recommend it to our friends. It really is exactly what it says -- portable! Thanks for producing such a great BBQ. Mike Batchelor Rating:
Reviewed by William on 24/06/2008 Grease drips down directly on d flame which makes the flame hard to control and produces way too much smoke. Its the worst BBQ I've ever owned, I used it twice and then I threw it out Rating:
Reviewed by miss ellie on 04/05/2008 if only the legs did not stick, this would be a fab barbeque. it is almost as if the paint melts thus making it virtually impossible to detatch the legs. last time we had to cool the hollow leg by putting ice cubes down so the metal would contract, then it took 4 grown men to twist and turn the last stubborn leg.( we needed it as we were touring france in our caravan or it would have been dumped) this was our second port a chef as we thought we were just unlucky with the first but the same problems occured and either the barbie or hubbie was going...i chose my husband!!
