While compared with my other turntable "Pro-ject 9X" I find it gives accurate and true sound, although not as sweet as that from 'Pro-ject". Its 100% accurate speed gives me confidence and makes me proud of it. It is an excellent turntable. Rating:   Reviewed by Aaron Emmett on 16-08-2004 The DJ's Fav.. Well i've owned set of 1210's for 11 years now!! and they still work as new!!! which is a testament in it's self! But feeling a little flush i decided to purchase a new set of Mark 5's and hand my orignal set down to a budding up and coming... who for anyone who's interested paid £500.00 for the whole kit, decks and mixer. Which again says a lot for the gear... The Mark 5's are HEAVY! only a few slight upgrades but it makes a difference... Technics are the only DJ decks as far as i'm concerned and SL1210 Mark 5's are the way forward! If your serious about djing or even just want to get started this is the deck for you featuring the kind of torque and performece that is demanded by any top dj. Despite being matched on spec by some rival turntables, the 1210 series just out performs everytime and this is the reason its been the industry standard for over 20 years!!! The SL1210's are sure to stay the industry for many more years to come. It may not be loaded with (uneeded) gadgets but you can guarantee if you ask any one in the buisness what decks they use they will say "1210s". Rating:
