A TV set has to have truly outstanding specifications for the money before I'll give it a 5 star rating. Having said that, I must say that my Hitachi CL21F60S is pretty decent. (Paid ¤139,00 for it during a sale at BCC Holland ) There is a minor issue with convergence problems in the upper left corner of the screen. This seems a bit of a Hitachi glitch(?)as I've come across some posts on the net about this. On average viewing this doesn't present a problem however. It seems the Hitachi boasts a service menu that can adjust for a lot of image imperfections but it's hidden from view. Somewhere there's a tip on the net on how to unhide this menu but I haven't come across it(yet). This would make this set a real looker, image wise. With the sharpness control turned all the way back, the image still looks decent enough. There's not a lot distracting you from viewing and that's a good thing. The only thing keeping me from giving this set a 5 star rating is the absence of a proper menu for geometry and color temperature correction. (Which b.t.w. is a omission a lot of TV's suffer from.) Or at least a way of letting a consumer know how to access such a menu when available.

Sharp picture. Adequate sound. Comfortable remote control. Can't judge the built-in tuner as I'm using a digital television decoder. Lots of settings to adjust the sound and image properties to your preference. Cabinet of TV looks small and unobtrusive. Great value for money at Euro 169 @ BCC.NL.

Purchased @ Comet's £149-99 21" flat screen with fast text. NOT widescreen. Auto picture to set format i.e. 4:3,16:9. On-screen (simple to use) auto programming. Quick start set-up. Sound can be set to give a level volume from one programme to another when changing over. Different sound properties can be selected (pop, concert, etc). 2 scart sockets for peripherals (at rear). Very good value for a basic, easy to use flat screen TV with an excellent picture. Easy to use for an older, less technologically minded person!
