The YST-SW1500 uses Yamaha's Advanced YST as well as brand new technologies such as QD-Bass to deliver exceptionally crisp, clean, powerful bass all the way down to 16Hz. The YST-SW1500 has an extremely efficient, high-power amplifier built in, and uses an extra-long stroke, drivers that provide outstanding power with low distortion. i bought the yamaha 1500 just because i wanted to try one, i bought it secondhand for very little outlay, but i gotta be fair, i had no idea it would be so good, with movies its power and poise is just extrordinary, and with music its depth and accuracy blew me away, i had been using a rel q400 for the last 4-5 years, but going back to the rel after the yam was so shocking, the rel is so breathless and inaccurate(and so overpriced)i love the yam, and it matches my ns 1000's in sound and style, happy days, just wish i had two
