Driving in areas where a GPS signal is intermittent— such as intense urban environments with tall buildings or mountainous terrain? The StreetPilot 2650 has all the features of the 2610 — including automatic route capability, voice prompts and a large color display — in addition to dead reckoning. This means that once the unit is installed by an authorized Garmin installer, you'll continue to get navigation guidance even if you lose GPS reception. Select maps and transfer data directly to the unit through a USB connection and onto a standard CompactFlash® memory card. The 2650 is powered using the external speaker with 12/24-volt adapter cable or A/C power adapter (both included in purchase). The StreetPilot 2650 also offers WAAS-enabled support to ensure the highest degree of GPS accuracy. Simply unplug the dead reckoning cable from the vehicle adapter if you want to use the 2650 in another vehicle. It will navigate the same way as the StreetPilot 2610.
Features of the Garmin StreetPilot 2650 include:
CompactFlash data card (type I or II) slot for map storage
3.3" W x 1.7" H, 305 x 160 pixels; bright, automotive-grade 8-bit, 256 color LCD display with automatic dimming backlight and touch screen
Indefinite data storage (no memory battery required)
