The Samsung PS50C7000 is a 50 inch 3D plasma TV. At the time of writing, 50 inches seems to offer the best value for money in plasma screens, and the C7000 is an excellent choice. Like the cheaper Samsung PS50C680, the 7000 series has 1080p full HD resolution, THX certification and uses active shutter glasses. It has 600Hz pictures to virtually eliminate motion blur. Picture quality is stunning. It's equipped with Freeview HD, and has 4 HDMI ports, so you can connect your Blu-Ray player, home cinema system and games consoles. It's also internet enabled, so you can connect to the internet via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The 7000 series TV's are slimmer than the entry-level PS50C680, being just 3.6cm thick, and also have a premium metallic black finish. We're not sure that these additional features justify the increased cost, and that's the only reason for us awarding this TV 4 stars instead of 5.
