I have just bought the Pioneer 4270XD and I have to say that I am delighted with the picture image and look of the television. Its sleek and very classy. However, there is a constant and somewhat irritating buzz that is very distracting. I checked the web and others have said the same thing so this does seem to be a problem with some 42" sets. I say this because I went to a local store and listened to their set and there is no buzz. Pioneer deny there is a probem and Curry's, where I bought it, are also disinterested. I would be very wary of buying this set unless you are sure you want to take the gamble that you wont have the problem.
I am still battling to get this resolved because i don't feel I should have an audible buzz whilst watching the television having spent the better part of £1,700. If you do have a the same problem harrass Pioneer so they resolve it. It's a shame really because in all other respects its a great TV.
