Reviewed by Dave J on 18/05/2010 Brought my Philips 50PFP553D/05 from Comet over 18 months ago can only describe it excellent until it died, would not turn on (black screen of death). Contacted comet who then contacted Philip's for me. Within 24hrs Philips had called me and arranged a repair company to collect the set and repair it free of charge. That is what I call excellent customer service. Repair Company keep in contact with daily with an upodate on repairs. I can only thank Philips and recommend them. Rating:

Reviewed by phil stephenson on 23/03/2009 I Bought this on special offer at a street level retailer for £600 quid, bargain i thought, right up until 20 days after i installed it when the screen died and i was left with an essentially 50" radio....Managed to get the panel replaced within 4 days but its not the first time i have heard about Phillips scren problem, fingers crossed this panel will last a bit longer. Build quality is good, but the remote is the cheapest and nastiest piece of kit i have ever used, all in all 4/5. Rating:
