Whilst this TV gives exceptional HD images the standard TV quality is often mediocre. A problem with my set (owned since Dec. 06) is that it keeps switching itself off, this is apparently caused by a lack of software upgrade which can only be obtained through connection of a standard aerial. As I run mine through Sky only, I have had to connect to a standard aerial just so that I recieve the monthly updates transmitted by Phillips. Overall though the Ambilight is soooooo cool!
