Panasonic TX-P50VT20B ReviewRating: Date: 04/02/2011 If you're looking for the best 50 inch TV currently available (LCD, LED or plasma), then the Panasonic TX-P50VT20B is probably it. Unfortunately, it's also the most expensive, by quite a long way. Like its rivals from LG and Samsung, the Panasonic comes with 1080p full HD resolution, THX certification and uses active shutter glasses (two pairs included) for the most realistic 3D effect possible. 600Hz Sub-field Drive Intelligent Frame Creation Pro eliminates any kind of motion blur, often the bugbear in LCD and LED TV's. It also uses a new generation of plasma technology called NeoPDP that delivers improved contrast and colour and greater efficiency. In our opinion, the VT20B beats LG and Samsung when it comes to picture quality.
Sound quality is amazing too, with a built-in subwoofer providing more bass than other plasma screens we've tested. And connectivity is outstanding as well. In addition to 4 HDMI connectors, Viera Cast provides internet access, and both Freeview HD and FreeSat HD are built into the TV as well.
If there's anything to criticise about the VT20 it would be that it's rather thicker than similar models from Samsung and LG, but that's just being picky. Really, the only reason for not choosing this TV is the price, but quality never does come cheap!

- FULL HD 3D with two pairs of 3D Eyewear Included
- Infinite Black Pro
- 600Hz Sub-field Drive Intelligent Frame Creation Pro
