I won one of these with a host of other Panasonic stuff (BluRay Home Movie SB-100, Camcorder etc etc) and can't believe my good fortune in not only the win but actually winning something thats excellent. The Blu Ray Home Cinema complements the TV well also.....Highly Recommended

I have always had an interest in TV advancements, my first tv was a 14" 405 line single channel 1956 vintage, the scanning lines were quite visible later I was astounded by the picture quality when the line standard changed to 625,in the early 1960's and also further astounded at the brilliance made by the addition colour in the late 1960's, At about that time much talk was given to high definition television, which has now arrived 35 years later. so over the past couple of years of vetting various manufacturers sets and my techical intrest as strong as ever I chose the panasonic TH-42PZ81B Plasma I am very pleased with this set. The picture and sound quality has lead me to think that tv has reached its pinnacle in development

Brought from John Lewis for £899 including five years warranty (next day price increased to £1,000). I have the SC-BT100 BluRay Home Theatre from Panasonic and both are the perfect match. Sound and picture are bright. HD picture from Sky TV is brilliant. I am very happy and highly recommended.

Great picture (when it works) easy to set up and use. But after a couple of months intermittent "faulty dish" error message becoming more persistent. Cahanged cabling etc. Sometimes Signal strength 10 and quality 7 yet no picture/sound and "faulty dish" message. Panasonic phone lines are too busy too respond and website useless. Humax box on same dish works fine.

Had the TV for 2 month. Only small thing I would pick it up on is the angle you have to point the remote at to change channel, or volume etc. You have to point it directly at the TV, direction of the on/off switch. Maybe I was spolied with the last TV I had, you could point the remote anywhere and it would work. Other than that one small thing which you soon get used to, a great TV.

Brought from John Lewis for £849 including five years warranty! Incredible bargain for a top spec plasma. Easy to set up and brilliant HD picture quality when using blue ray or built in free sat. Only negative is the picture is blurry when you are nearer than six foot from the screen but there again it is a 42" and best viewed at 10ft plus. Totally delighted and would highly recommend.
