took delivery of a brand new 50pg3000 and it had 1 dead pixel and one lazy green one. fair enough you can't really see it when you're more that 30 cms away from the screen but thats not good. using a pc on the tv through its pc port, windows explorer would appear to dim when it was maximised and go a lot brighter when reduced to a smaller window. also when the window was maximised to full screen an extremely high pitched noise would emit from the device, not so much uncomfortably loud but one of those really high sine wave type noises that you cant really pinpoint where its coming from. also the amount of heat this tv generates can warm a room like a radiator. on the plus side after owning an lcd projector tv for 3.5 years before, this set did impress me with some hdtv program material i had. super sharp and vibrant, i wasnt used to this kind of quality in video. the set isn't a 1080p model but for the money and size this is a great tv. (if you get one thats perfect that is) i did report the dead pixel issue within 2 days of owning the set and was offered a full new replacement but unfortuantley there were none available. i would have definatley been happy to have an identical model if there had been one. im currently waiting for a new samsung model which is the same specification so it better measure up to this model.
