Reviewed by MQueen on 14/05/2009 Had TV just over 2 years and then it just lost power - just a couple of weeks out of warranty! Aftr researchng on-line it seems this is a common problem. Spent ages trying to find a contact address/ number / e maifor Hyundai to no avail. Repair centre not much help either. DON'T BUY HYUNDAI - it was an expensive mistake Rating:
Reviewed by Lothar on 03/05/2009 I have this TV 5 years now. I use it with a Samsung Digital decoder and i dont have problems at all. Somtimes i think that there is a Pioneer Tube involved. The image and sound quality is amazing. Rating:
Reviewed by Crappy on 03/09/2007 Terrible Television, it pumps out radiation like a nuclear reactor & cant be good for my eyesight. Display is alright when using component but with the black line that keeps appearing & disappearing, among other faults, i cannot help but hate this television. Never trust Hyundai, they should stick to cars. Rating:

Reviewed by Mike G on 12/07/2006 I have had this TV for one and a half years now and it has been faultless. True there are times when the screen can go a little fuzzy when there is fast action appearing on screen, but you hardly notice it. I have my Xbox 360 plugged into it with the Component video cables set to High Definition. This is where this TV excels itself. I have the screen resolution set to 1080i on the Xbox giving a resolution of 1900x1024 on the actual TV. It is the dogs, as the clairty of the graphics is breathtaking, and it does not seem to suffer any picture degradation during fast moving images unlike DVD sources. The inbuilt speakers are not that good, but plugin your own speakers and it does make a difference. Although with this sort of screen I would expect to use a sperate true 5.1 surround decoder for the best results. For a sub £1000 plasma yuo can't really fault this TV, the problems listed by other owners previous to this post must have suffered extreme bad luck. This TV really is good, test it out in the shops to make up your own mind. Rating:

Reviewed by Stay well away from Hyundai Plasma TVs on 15/02/2006 My HPT4240 went wrong with parts of the screen showing up black after 13
months, just outside warranty. Did have to take the store to court for a
refund. Stay well away from Hyundai TVs, perhaps there cars are ok... Rating:
Reviewed by Steve Kohler on 23/11/2005 Firstly, the television was delivered with only a generic remote control that makes no reference to the television. It also came with only a generic owners manual (which is simply a single-stapled photocopy of some original somewhere) and at no time does it refer, anywhere, inside or even on the cover, to the specific model - or even the brand!! What is worse, the generic owners manual does not show the same features as the ones on the television. Examples of on-screen display are completely wrong, and references made to specific functions/buttons are inaccurate - and sometimes don't exist. The colours of the display itself are terrible - every picture looks as if its been painted. The television is less than 1 year old (purchased in Dec 04) and has now been back for service twice due to malfunction. My advice - let Hyundai stick to selling inferior cars. They have no business selling televisions. (Purchased in Sweden from electrical chain El-Giganten, who refuse to give me my money back, or even allow me to trade-in this "television" for a reputable brand from their own range).
