Was great to start with. Good sound quality, but it only lasted just under 3 years. It's now broken - the mini usb port disintegrated, so no way to recharge it.

I've had my Rio Carbon for 2 weeks now and in my opinion as a designer, it beats the bland i-pod mini all round. The Rio fits nicely into your palm, has more presence than the I-pod and the sound quality seems as good as my expensive stereo. There is no distortion at high volumes and the software is the best I've seen. It is already one of my best buys.

The Rio Carbon is a very good mp3 player. It holds many songs and is very portable. Although, it does not have the colors like the ipod mini. But, the 2 out of 2 ipod minis that I've had, have broke. The Rio Carbon works much better. Though, I am having trouble finding sites where I can download music onto it. I think it is an excellent purchase.
