FUB34 I wanted this primarily for the record function and the ease of recording i.e. a button rather than through a sub menu. The voice record is very good sound quality and easy to use. The player has excellent sound quality and also sounds great in the car through a cassette purchased for a few pounds. Ear piece not comfortable so have ordered an around ear one. This is my first MP3 player and am glad to learn tat it is not only me that finds the screen very difficult to read-even with glasses; that is the only fault I have found, but would consider this if purchasing another mp3 in the future

just one thing to add: in the options menu it lets you choose between several sampling frequencies for the recording but the recorded file always gets encoded at the lowest (sampling rate at 8Khz with 4bit), why the menu? thats just sad to me.

So... I like this mp3 but i haven't FM... I haven't prolbems but display is undeadable... I have paid only £6.00 and my mp3 is new and with guaratee... Why there this is so expensive? I think that THIS mp3 isn't worth 56 pounds...

I have only had my FUB34 for a couple of weeks and I am shocked by what other reviewers have to say. One reviewer is disgruntled by his own assumption that this model has FM. It doesn't but it isn't supposed to have! My criticisms ... Useful documentation is negligible and the 9-page manual on the mini cd is very poor. I'm almost at retiring age and have never used a device like this before but I've managed to fathom my way through most of its capabilities - it isn't rocket science. I am however completely in agreement with those who comment on the unreadability of the LCD. I can understand none of it without a magnifying glass but once I became accustomed to navigating the menus I didn't need to see the LCD clearly to recognise the icon I want to select. The supplied stereo earpieces are pathetic little buttons that are simply useless - they just kept falling out of my ears. My praises .... The sound quality is outstanding. The mic sensitivity is outstanding. I am using this device for covertly recording conversations and it exceeds my expectations. I run Windows Millenium on one PC and XP on another - the FUB34 has shown no problems with plug and play on either system. mp3 files are quickly and very easily added or deleted by drag and drop. I have replaced the earpieces with similar button type but with a plastic hook that goes over the ear (£5.99 Maplin) and the result is a superb compact orchestra in my shirt pocket. I love it.

As soon as I started to use this Mp3 it did not work. I formatted it then it began to work. A feww months later it did not work anymore and after four months it only allows me to add on one song!

well i bought this mp3 player so i got something to listen to on my walks in the evenings. i had no problems adding the music etc its the getting it of that is my problem it can take me upto 2 hours to remove all the music it keeps disconnecting itself from my pc and it isnt my pc cause that is new lol if anyone has any ideas on how to remove the music in less time please do get back to me on suzy_4m@hotmail.com thanks

Display hard to read.Does not seem to move on to next track properly,even with correct setting in menue. Also takes ages to skip through tracks and locks up.(its going back !)

I purchased the MP-FUB34 understanding that it would have FM. Sorry hard luck sucker. No menu exists for Fm on my unit. I agree that the manual leaves a lot to be desired. I had a powerful Mag glass but still had trouble reading what few instructions there were. Being an old timer, I had all kinds of trouble trying to down load mp3 files to it.

instruction manual non existant...can't see display clearly even with good eyesight. i know its cheap but thats no excuse for a bad product...no one should sell this.
