Before I bought the Zen, I had an iPod Nano 4gb. I was happy with it at the time until a fault, at 4 months old, caused me to return it. I was told, I had damaged it (untrue!)and they returned it to me non-functional. After much communication, I gave up and bought the Zen. What a shame I didn't do that in the 1st place!!! Sound quality is way better, picture quality is easily as good and it has an FM radio to boot! And to top it all, it is 30% cheaper. I have heard that the audio is not loud enough for some people... upgrade to the latest firmware (Jan'09 I think it was) and the problem is solved!

I have been using it for around 3months...and you know? I have -regretted- that I've been comparing this with ipod nano for later I realized that this Zen thingy is nearly perfect (as none of a gadget would be); *affordable and reasonable price; *design....don't question it...admire it.. ; *sound quality great...not sooo loud like ipod will give you...as I think that if you want loooooouud portable music player and play it on the street...it seems like you're carrying a radio tape... *video quality....above average (see zen v plus, iPod nano 4 GB, or such) not only because it provides us wif bigger screen, but also the other display qualities are quite awesome. *Radio, organizer (if you need one), recording (oh, very sensitive, good one Zen)......pictures viewer (slieshows and stuffs...I never really use it that much) ..... these are all additional features that might give a little better mark for this Zen *you may call me cheapskate....but this one will be 6 out of 5 stars if you talk about what you pay is what you get....this is a bit cheap for an awesome gadget.. *the software for converting and stuffs comes pretty handy, and i love the audiobooks download features, it is brilliant. *3 months duration, 2 times hang (like sudden lagging) for when I transfer files from computer, usually I put very big size of file...but really, I think that's just my computer's poor capability of handling task.. OVERALL....hm....hm....not like the utmost gadget.....but it is indeed a very powerful and intelligent gadget. must be at one's top 3 considerations... TRY IT..!
