Reviewed by Natalie on 16/03/2007 Have had my 60GB video ipod for about 9 months now, and it really is brilliant! No problems at all, very easy to add/remove music and songs and plenty of space to store photos too. Unfortunately the screen does get scratched quite easily, and also the mirrored back of the ipod, so it's wise to buy a protective cover/case. The only other thing I would suggest is not to use the earphones provided - terrible sound quality, and I found I had to put the volume up to the maximum when listening to songs, which ran the battery down. Instead I bought a cheapo pair of earphones for £4, and they work fab. The sound quality is a lot better, so the battery life on the ipod has been spared. All in all a great music/video player. Compared to other multi media products, the video ipod really is one of the best in terms of functions and aesthetics. Rating:
Reviewed by why does it suck so much? on 01/11/2006 You may believe that this is a poor score, but it really deserves it. I had already purchased multiple iPods before purchasing my 60GB iPod video. the main isse before was the fact that the battery drained in a matter of hours. In the add, it says it will last up to 20 hours, mine lasts for 5. I have already exchanged it twice, but it remains the same 5 hours, with the light and clicker off. Also, the whole point of this new iPod is to be able to watch movies on it. Well, if you watch a show, the battery does not last longer than 30 mins, which is pathetic. Other systems may not have as much memory as the iPod, but they are much cheaper and last much longer. it is sad to see that an enterprise such as Apple is unable to fix these flaws and lie about them. Sad. Rating:
