Reviewed by Steve, Torquay, Devon on 06/08/2006 I bought this MP3 player for £20 last september, all my friends said it wouldnt last a week. Still works perfectly, never crashes or freezes which is great for such a cheap item. The memory is great anyway, but i also have a SD card in case im travelling away so i can listen to more music. The only downside is that the speakers which came with the mp3 player r horrible - but its fine because i bought new earphones from argos. Another downside is the battery life. Either i buy bad batteries or it drinks them up quickly. But i do buy batteries from poundland!! I would defintely buy one of these mp3 players over a ipod, the sound is fantastic, the memory is great and its small and easy to use. Rating:
Reviewed by mikeyboy on 04/06/2006 My motto is "Buy cheap, buy twice" but on this occasion i didn't have much cash in my pocket and fancied a half-decent mp3 player. I bought one from argos for £14.99 and with a little resourcefulness i also bought some Sennheiser MX-300 earbuds for £4.99 from Richer sounds as the standard earbuds are a bittersweet mix(good treble, scratchy mid and not very bassy). It now sounded spot-on. Next, the memory. I bought a Viking 1gb from Amazon.co.uk. for £15.00.
Right now to work out the bill £14.99 + £4.99 + £15.00 = £34.98.
It has only cost me £34.98 to buy a machine that shows the ipod shuffle the way home, this machine has more features and now the sound quality is truly outstanding. All for a vey meagre budget, my suggestion is get one, bin the earphones and buy an sd card because this a very capable machine indeed. Rating:
