Reviewed by STEVE,NOTTINGHAM on 20/04/2007 Good quality set, picture excellent, sound options very good. Just needed to turn the contrast down a bit(to 80),to improve on factory settings. No problem with Freeview, can be a bit slow, but nothing annoying.Films look great and the set does not dominate the room either. Reviewed by Tetchy on 14/03/2007 I have had one of these TV’s for just over a week now and so far I am very impressed. I work in the trade (I sell TV’s for a living) so I was in the unique situation to be able give the vast of array of 26inch options at my disposal a rigorous testing. I had my choice narrowed down to this model or The Samsung LE26R74BDX. I had them both side by side in the shop, and saw them on High def, Standard def, Freeview, Dvd, Upscaled you name it, I’ve seen it and to be honest with you the decision in the end came down to which one was in stock (display models only on the Samsung). So far I have not been disappointed with my choice. On freeview the colours are bright (too bright as always on factory setting), the sharpness of line is about as good as I have seen on what is after all an entry level lcd. Watching football is a surprising joy. It seems to cope remarkably well with the motion, which is rare on LCD's. Dvd picture has also impressed so far (Xmen-The Last stand looked excellent). On HD however I think the Samsung has the edge. The level to which you can adjust the picture is outstanding (Almost too much choice) and the sound is better than most lcd's of any size (certainly better than the Samsung which is about as poorer TV sound as I have heard). So now I have waxed lyrical over this TV I bet your wondering why I have not given it a 5* rating? Well it all lies in the integral free view guide, which is quite frustrating at times. This is either due to the amount of information it displays or the fact that the remote control seems to be very directional (you have to have the accuracy of a sniper and quite often does not feel as responsive as it should). Luckily I am a patient man and this has not spoiled my enjoyment... yet. Rating:
