Product Rating
Toshiba 20WL56 ReviewRating: Date: 14-11-2006 The Toshiba 20WL56 is essentially the same TV as the 20WLT56 but without the benefit of an integrated Freeview digital TV tuner. Instead it has a conventional analogue tuner. If you already have a separate Freeview box, or if you use Sky or cable, then this TV could be worth considering. Otherwise, the Toshiba 20WLT56 is definitely a better buy, as anlogue TV is due to be swtched off in the UK some time between 2008 and 2012.
The display resolution of the 20WL56/20WLT56 is higher than average for this size of TV at 1366 x 768 pixels with high contrast and brightness. It uses a 3D digital comb filter and digital noise reduction technology to "clean" noisy input signals for an improved picture quality. It also has a screen format of 16:9 widescreen as standard, which many other 20 inch models don't have.
Audio quality is also good with high quality stereo speakers rated at 10W power.
There's a good choice of connection ports too, including component video, S-video, RGB, 2x SCART, PC Input and a headphone jack.
This is a very good value for money TV, and is recommended, provided that you take note of our warnings about the lack of a Freeview tuner.
