Reviewed by Joe on 28/04/2009 This is a replacement for an old Sony plasma screen, so I am a longtime Sony fan. I have read some mixed reviews about recent Sony LCD screens, so I checked this one out in the shop before purchase. I needn't have worried. It's a real beauty. Bravia Engine 3 renders video perfectly, with very natural looking colours. The V5500 also has great contrast - on a par with my old plasma, with very dark blacks. Very little motion blur I'm pleased to say. Connections are generous - 4 HDMI's, a USB and an ethernet. There's also some green power-saving features that are worth mentioning. For the money, this is a real killer TV. Rating:
