Reviewed by Simon on 04/02/2009 Bought this TV in November 08 for $599 Thanks Comet Electrical!! Hunt around online using price compare engines for the best bargain as prices vary immensely between shops and even change each week. See ripoff deals listed above. Full HD easy to use, good quality picture albeit not brilliant but for 599 I am very happy. Much more efficient than plasma TVs Rating:

Reviewed by Jim on 07/12/2008 Had this for a few months now and bought it at an introductory price. So glad i got it then as my Toshiba tele wouldn't play my sony laptop through the hdmi connection. Sony i think are the top brand for tv's in my opinion especially for the price and i do believe they put better components inside just to keep in front of the competition. This one has a super picture in Blu-ray. You get a bit of pixelization with standard tv but thats probably bad reception or old filming techniques. Recommended. Rating:
Reviewed by Jon on 25/11/2008 Great TV, especialy for the price. High contrast levels make blacks look awesome and upscaler does a good job of rendering standard def tv. My ONLY wish, was that this tv had a 100hz system - the tv doesn't handle fast moving action too well, but this is only really noticeable when you're watching action movies, particularly ones set in the dark. And for this price, i'm not complaining. This is the best mid-range lcd on the market, if you want to spend under £800, buy this one! Rating:
Reviewed by Gary Hargreaves on 10/11/2008 Bought my 40V4000 In November '08, and I have to say that watching a Blu-ray through it, is an experiance I will never forget! From opening the packaging to watching t.v took less then 5 minutes and the VGA PC input is a great feature. The screen has amazing clarity and the blacks are fantasic, if you've lived your life with crt you will be amazed how good an LCD screen looks. Highly recommended. Rating:
