Reviewed by Abi Maduka on 15/07/2009 Its an excellent television with one major drawback: the component AV outputs at 576p maximum! A real let down for a HD tv set albeit, 1080i. Bluray/DVD picture quality is excellent though. Rating:
Reviewed by Ajay on 06/12/2008 I have owned one of these tv for a year and half.Must say it is excellent visually. The picture is good on standard definition, even better when i play blu-ray through my PS3.The sound is rich in and crisp.Only draw back i can think of is that it would of very useful if it had a USB, asides that this TV from Sony is Top notch.Oh by the way to the guy who's sky menu becomes hidden at the bottom of the screen, you have to tailor the screen settings on the TV to WIDE and display to NORMAL, that should eradicate your problem. Reviewed by dip on 08/08/2007 this tv is excellent on most inputs - tv, dvd and ps3. however some channels/movies, have a very pixellated image. for example, i was watching the sixth sense the other day on itv 2, the film was pixelated, but the were nice and crisp. oh and lord of the rings looks sublime on dvd on this tv, the colours are amazing. Reviewed by Prit on 16/05/2007 About to buy this model after my Toshiba C series broker down after 6 weeks due to faulty LCD panel. The retailer 'Sound and Vision' returned Toshiba and happily upgraded to Sony 40" S2530. Bit woried about the motion on such a large display - i.e. will it jutter but confident that this is the best set for the money. Would not touch Samsung, you get what you pay for at the end of the day. Rating:
Reviewed by Robert Dazzle on 13/05/2007 Excellent TV. picture and sound fantastic with sky, xbox 360 and hd dvd player. Rating:
Reviewed by Andrew A on 07/04/2007 I find this television to be excellent. I was very impressed by the on air pictures. Even more so with the HD and DVD pictures. Absolutely fantastic. I work in an audio department for John Lewis, and can definately say this telly is an improvement over the 40s2010 and 40s2030. Better contrast and Live Colour Creation too!! Rating:
