Unbelievable sd quality.HD quality is the best I have seen. Sound is as poor as most Samsungs. But if you are spending this much on a tv, you're likely to have an external sound source. Wiselink pro and the dnla make this tv a fantastic centrepiece. Beautiful design.

Fantastic hdtv! At 100hz performs great and at 24p on ps3 is awesome! Games are great even if you don't choose game mode option! Lot of multimedia options and all the inputs you need.

Got the LE40A856 a couple of days ago and am extremely impressed and happy with it as the picture quality is superb. For the sake of an extra £100 I'm glad we went for this model and not the LE40A786 because the 8 series comes with DLNA and Wiselink Pro (rather than just Wisklink standard) and these features are something we were looking for. Great job Samsung!
