we bought our 40" telly for Xmas 2008 so had it just over a year. We are well pleased with it. We're obviously not avids but we think the picture quality is excellent. We watch freeview television thru' a BT Vision box (the first generation). We have an Xbox 360 and a Wii also connected, both of which produce stunning imagery. We take the audio from everything thru' a Samsung Sound Bar (not too happy with that), but would recommend this particular telly to anyone. It also has stunning visual appeal even when it's turned off, especially when the sun shines on it.

Had 'FOUR' tv's of this model LE40656 ...all had major clouding issues. All were returned to shop. tip: Search google...TYPE 'Samsung clouding '

I have the 46" version of this TV. It is amazing. I used to have a Toshiba 36" crt which was a 5* back in the day and this is a massive improvement on that! Loads of inputs, great picture and fantastic to look at (even when it's turned off!). Only draw back is sound could be better, but I have a surround sound system that takes care of that. I have just order the 40" version from Dixons for £693!! Highly recommended.

"jonh" below (is that even a name?!) gave one of the poorest reviews EVER. This TV has a good spec with impressive image quality, theres 50,000:1 contrast ratio which gives it rich lifelike colours. Its FULL HD (1080p) and has an excellect number of input/output connections to make it future proof. The only thing that could be better with this TV is the sound, which can easily be sorted with a home cinema system. The 100Hz refresh rate helps alot with high motion pictures, so i dont have a clue what "jonh" is talking about. overall 9/10 due to sound quality. Gav C
