Reviewed by Strawbs on 12/03/2006 After Picking up an LG RZ-32LZ50 on the Saturday which developed an overnight penchant for displaying Green coloured Picture breakup for the
first hour of warming up! I swapped it for this model Phillips in the hope that the brand would live up to its reputation for excellent quality pictures. Whilst the Set behaved impeccably in the 24hours of my ownership, the Picture quality was very disappointing! blur & low definition ruled! Sound quality was as low spec as the picture and the
lack of analogue Audio output connectivity was the final straw. For £1000
I would at least expect to plug this thing into my AV Reciever without having to utilise the headphone jack - thus losing all sound from the set itself. It wasn't long before I was re-packaging and waiting for the shops to open again so I could return it! Everything about this set is Bland & Boring - including the cosmetic design.
I returned it & bought a Samsung LE32R51BD which has built in Digital
Freeview, PIP, Analogue Audio Outputs, Auto Volume Leveler, Auto Ambient Light Correction, Dynamic Contrast Adjustment & 8ms picture response time - which does away with the Blur the 20ms Phillips suffers from. Rating:
Reviewed by Lee Wright on 19/01/2006 Good picture just a pity there is not enough connections also no 720p xbox 360 support. Bought this screen for £1000 and took it back next day what a shame philips. Rating:
