Reviewed by Paul Steele on 24/06/2008 I purchase this TV when my Samsung 42in HD Plasma popped its cork 2 months ago in May. Compared with the Samsung this is light years ahead in picture quality and everything. It isn't cheap by any means but you only get what you pay for these days. We are currently watching Wimbledon in HD and the colours and redition are fantastic, every blade of grass stands out and the writing on the tennis balls can be read too. The new Wimbledon matrix scoreboards however tend to screw the rendition as each dot of the matrix is clearly visible to the viewer. Otherwise excellent pictures. HD films broadcast by Sky are quality jobs as is Discovery HD, History HD and Nat Geo HD. Overall this has been an excellent buy, easy set up, the input icons grey out until something is plugged in so you know exactly what is plugged in the back. I have 3 DVD players (one region 1), a Sky+ HD box, a Hotbird Sat receiver and a VCR all of which run great with this TV. We don't need Freeview, having Sky+ HD but as it is built in it may be useful to some people. I can't comment on how it copes wit a PC input because I haven't tried it but I'm sure it will be good. Fix it to a wall and you will have a great set up. Now how about a Blu Ray DVD to replace the old Panasonic? I wonder if "er indoors would allow it? Recommended buy. Rating:
