I bought this TV in July 2008 after having so much trouble with a Samsung 40". The Samesung turned itself off, it wouldn't turn on, so I took it back to the shop and they tried to give me another Samsung. After all the trouble I'd had there was no way I was buying another one. The shop assistant advised that LG use the same screens as Samsung and that they've had loads of Samsung TV's back in the shop. I asked if they'd had any LG TV's back and he said they've never had any trouble with LG. I'm now considering buying the 52" LG with 50,000:1 ratio. It's definately a make I would buy in the future as the people in the store recommend it highly. If you're going to buy a TV then buy LG. For the price and quality you can't go wrong!

I purchased the set just about a month ago and I am over the moon with it. I can not rate this LCD tv highly enough. After spending many an hour researching the options and comparing prices I settled on the LG42LC46 and am I glad I did. It's a fantastic TV. The looks are great, the picture is great, it has all the connections you could wish for and the set up is so easy a child could manage it but best of all was the price £599 and that included delivery of £20. I would recommend this tv to anyone thinking of buying an LCD in my opinion you can not get better or even equivalent at this price. Never mind 5 star it deserves 10

After a very confusing time trying to decide which was the best deal I decided this was the best value for money, at £750 I am very pleased and as a result can enjoy the movies I love in a whole new dimention. Definately one of the best, and far better than most of it's much higher priced competitors, ... impressive, considering LG make the screens that their competitors use. Goldstar really did get Lucky. Makes you want to watch everything at once. :)
