Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by jue on 01/06/2010 We bought this TV just under 3 years ago. We were really pleased with it until about a month ago when the picture started flickering really badly. Having changed the DVD player and got a replacment sky box the problem seems to be with the tv. It plays fine on the freeview channels but is a complete nightmare with anything played through the HDMI connections. I contacted LG but they are not interested because we didnt take the extended warranty and they told me to contact Domestic & General and take out a policy and get it repaired through that. Im pretty disappointed considering the age of the TV and the fact that when we bought it, it had only just been released and we paid over £1000 for it Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Shell on 03/01/2009 I bought this TV in July 2008 after having so much trouble with a Samsung 40". The Samesung turned itself off, it wouldn't turn on, so I took it back to the shop and they tried to give me another Samsung. After all the trouble I'd had there was no way I was buying another one. The shop assistant advised that LG use the same screens as Samsung and that they've had loads of Samsung TV's back in the shop. I asked if they'd had any LG TV's back and he said they've never had any trouble with LG. I'm now considering buying the 52" LG with 50,000:1 ratio. It's definately a make I would buy in the future as the people in the store recommend it highly. If you're going to buy a TV then buy LG. For the price and quality you can't go wrong! Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by Vectra on 13/03/2008 I purchased the set just about a month ago and I am over the moon with it. I can not rate this LCD tv highly enough. After spending many an hour researching the options and comparing prices I settled on the LG42LC46 and am I glad I did. It's a fantastic TV. The looks are great, the picture is great, it has all the connections you could wish for and the set up is so easy a child could manage it but best of all was the price £599 and that included delivery of £20. I would recommend this tv to anyone thinking of buying an LCD in my opinion you can not get better or even equivalent at this price. Never mind 5 star it deserves 10 Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by cainam on 17/02/2008 After a very confusing time trying to decide which was the best deal I decided this was the best value for money, at £750 I am very pleased and as a result can enjoy the movies I love in a whole new dimention. Definately one of the best, and far better than most of it's much higher priced competitors, ... impressive, considering LG make the screens that their competitors use. Goldstar really did get Lucky. Makes you want to watch everything at once. :) Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Reviewed by venom on 01/02/2008 Me and my family just bought one of the lg's and we love it.
