Reviewed by John on 06/03/2009 I have now owned this TV for 4 months and I have to say that I am completely delighted with it. The contrast ratio of 50,000:1 is astounding and the black levels are exceptional although you have to fiddle about with the user settings to achive best results. Like another reviewer I have had HDMI connection problems when tying the box up to a Freeview receiver but in my case the problem is due the appalling BT Vision box which has serious compatibility issues with many mainstream TV's. When connected via HDMI to a Blueray player or PS3 the pictures are breathtaking. My LG DVD recorder connects automatically using Intelligent Sensor and again, the combination of the two devices via HDMI is well above average for an upscaled SD input. Turning to the looks...well you either love Scarlett or you don't. I think she looks stunning and that red touch sensor is a real talking point. There have been people who have derided this TV for a softish picture. The default setting can be a little soft but again, that can be changed quite easily. In my view, slight softness can be a virtue when dealing with Freeview which has notoriously bad pictures due to the heavy compression used. Finally, the tuner is excellent in digital mode however, the analogue mode is pretty poor. Who wants to watch this great TV with analogue anyway? One great feature is the ability to connect with aerial pre-amplifiers to boost the signal in poor reception areas. I recommend theis TV wholeheartedly. Rating:
Reviewed by Leon on 14/01/2009 Got this beauty from RicherSounds today. I upgraded from a 26 inch 720p LG to this. I was looking at various other sets such at the 32a558 and the Pg 6000 to name a few. But for less than 500 quid a full hd 37 inch seemed some what crazy. So i went to view it. To be honest i was very impressed. I thought the bargin was too good to be true, as i found out it was true. The Tv has argueably the best sound for a LCD of this size. The looks are one of a kind. And the picture is punching with the best. The AV mode comes in useful for quick picture changes and the interface and controller are above standard. There are alot of features listed when you see this on the web and to be honest it really pays off. I am really happy with this buy and would definately recommend to others. This also has a richer picture than my 42 inch panny plasma downstairs, which is dissapointing as my bedroom has better quality TV. My advice; see it for yourself to believe it. Menu is up to speed and doesn't seem slow as previously mentioned. All in all 5 stars. Rating:
Reviewed by Sjc on 04/01/2009 Just got the TV yesterday and its outstanding. The design is lovely, the ps3 plays in full 1080p HD, blu rays look amazing and normal tv ain't too bad. The speakers are quite good for a tv but obviously nowhere near a dedicated sound sytem (which is my next purchase) All for £499.99 in the sale. Bargain. Jim sounds like he has a duff set, it might be worth updated the software on it if the menu is that slow. Woohoo :) Rating:

Reviewed by Rick on 19/11/2008 Really impressed with this set, upscales SD freeview very well (to the point i thought I was watching a HD source), presets and menus are easy to access, and menus are fast. Sound is excellent. Think previous reviewer may have a faulty one. Only downsides are; black is dark grey, as with any LCD screen. Also base of screen makes it taller than most 37". Guess they had to put the speakers somewhere. Rating:
Reviewed by Jim on 01/11/2008 Just got our 37" LG6000 today...'what a problematic set it is. Won't see the digibox most of the time, the built-in freeview interfers witht the digibox and vice-versa, the set refuses to show a picture when "switched" on, tha menu system takes app., 20-30 secs to go to next page...'slooow! Sound is so-so, looks great, but performs less than that! Very temperamental tv set. Not one I'd buy again, that's for sure. Jim'll Jinx It. Rating:
