TEAC MC-DV250
Product Rating
Part of the attraction of going to the cinema is the impressive sense of involvement in the film. Sound is all around and you can sense the passing of an aeroplane or a door opening behind you. Until recently playing a video of the same film at home never recaptured the real drama. Modern movie soundtracks are now encoded using surround-sound technologies. While conventional stereo has just two channels, surround-sound uses up to 6 channels to build a realistic 'wall of sound' all around you! And the latest TEAC Home Theatre products re-create and deliver this superb sound to your living room.

Reviewed by Richard on 15/06/2007 I am interested in maggie's comment. Thsi model is no longer available, but I managed to buy an x display model at a really good price. The sound is fantastic. The problem is that on DVD play mode the picure disappeared - or so I thought. Took it back to shop and they were able to identify a pic, but only with brightness turned up full. The pic is then barely visible. Teac are haggling about fixing under warranty. Indication are that it might be a video board problem. I wonder is this the same problem?? I would really like to keep the unit. Maggie, if you read this, I would like to compare notes. It is a nice system - but if there is a flaw ------? Rating:
Reviewed by Maggie on 20-09-2005 Bought a TEAC MC-DV250 last week and am I sorry I ever did. Works fine with CDs and VCDs. The problem is when DVDs are played the thing hangs every few minutes or so. Rating:
