its the biggest pile of rubbish ever if u want a proper sound system get (onkiyo) they cost an arm and a leg but u no where the extra money goes very poweful and sounds brilliant ive just baught one it puttsout 1000wats and its brilliant

I was very happy with the unit until after two years it developed sound trouble. I get a popping which builds up to very fast and the sound distorts. I have to go through the sound settings (video 1, video 2, tv, am/fm) until I get back to the original setting which has cured it for a moment but then the sound problem returns. I will have to look elsewhere for another surround sound system.

Was great for 18 months, then started to buzz.... loader and loader from the unit until it was unbearable. Got no help from Sony and even though out of guarantee surely this is a manufacturers fault (see how many other people on the net have the same problem) and should be dealt with. The item is not suitable for what it was made for... Sony, understand this and deal with it! Your after sales service stinks and you should look to your customers concerns. This is a fault with this unit and others the same, it's not good enough!

Had the unit for 20 months. It has now developed audio faults which I find unnacceptable, as it was not a cheap unit. My sons LG unit, which cost a hell of a lot less, is still going strong and sounds better. Maybe mine
was a monday morning or friday afternoon unit. Would like assitance from Sony, but they seem to not care or respond to any communication. Will never buy any Sony products again !

This is a great looking system with a matching performance rate, the mirrored front of the player is a real eye catcher and everyone who has seen it has comment on it's looks. The five surround speakers and sub woofer are very well made and are compact and neat. The picture quaintly and sound playback is great, but I would suggest playing with the settings to achieve the best results for the room it is in. In summary, Installation is easy with good instructions and colour coded wires. It has an easy to operate remote control. It is stylishly designed and well made. The RGB connection gives perfect picture playback. It is excellent value for money.
