But, with the advent of modern upscaling technology that was about to breathe a new lease of life into my dvd's, I decided to stick with Pioneer as my chosen brand, and it has been fantastic! The system is beautiful in piano black and the speakers are small but produces a magnificent surround sound. The upscaler at 1080i produces a detailed and vibrant picture. My dvd's look fantastic and it'a joy watching them all again. I can't recommend this system highly enough - IT's BRILLIANT!!! I traded it in for a Pioneer DCS 363 at a small extra cost. I didn't want a big apparatus in my home so an amplifier and additional DVD player was out of the question. The salesperson recommended me this one. It has only 1 audio in line, but in my case that is enough. It plays my music from a pendrive, so no messing around buying expensive Apple accessories for Ipod hookup. The sound is superb by all means (TV, Music and DVD) The home cinema surround effect is very impressive and pristine. Why 'only' 4 stars: because 'outstanding' in this price range does not exist, although in my particular case it comes very close. Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
