great when it worked, but 1 month out of warranty it got the no disk error that everyone else seems to be getting. Tried lens cleaner worked twice after that and that was it. Now its just an expensive CD player with other audio functions....using £20 player now!

When i purchased this i was impressed, played all disks and divx, only thing sound is far to bassey. Same as everyone else who has this player aftery lens, 16months it has the no disk error, I regularly use a dvd cleaner so its not a dirt, ive tried the updates with no success, Everywhere i look on the internet there are loads of reviews saying this product has the same problem, I will not buy another philips product. My toshiba DVD player i paid £24 for has well out lasted this one which cost me £210. Philips should be on a rogue trader programme, its disgusting that a major manufacturer has produced a faulty item that has dissapointedthe majority of people who bought it and have no solution. DONT BUY PHILIPS.take youre cash elsewhere.

Don't buy one of these as soon as the warrantly expires Philips don't want to know. Their Tech support is less than acceptable. - its a great product if you don't mind accepting the fact that it will only last 15 months. Mine is on its 3rd repair and this time it would cost £200 just to conduct a diagnostic check to fault find - Hence it is about to go into the bin.....
