I have had this system for about 12 months now, and am really impressed. It is a great multi-region system which handles any type of disk/format thrown at it. In fact, it is so good, I am currently upgrading from a CRT to a full HD TV, and was going to sell this, but thanks to some good reviews that it upscales to 1080, I will keep it and see. The sound quality is amazing and I wait with anticipation to see the upscaled image!

i bought this philips and thought that i wasted my money but when it came out of the box i was amazed in how good it was i would strongly suggest that you get one if your thinking about a home cinema system

I've had two of these and both had fauly remote controls. After a few days some of the buttons stopped working altogether (cursor keys, pause, stop). Other than the fact that it was unusable without the remote the sound and picture quality was very good.

When i purchased this product I must admit i felt as if there were better home cinem systems out there for around the same price. This ended as soon as it was set up and running. With HDMI upscaling and 500 watt 5.1 speaker system, i was immersed and felt like i was in the film (Mission Impossible 3). I had the WOW factor written all over my face. Its a fantastic looking and sound producing product i never regret. All my friends and family think the sound is just absouletly superb giving off a high definition sound. Along with that, it has a usb connection, a radio tuner, plays divX compatible discs with divX Ultra and plays almost every format disc on high dts and dolby surround sound. A must buy for all theatre system lovers but should be used with a HD ready tv, you will be surprised with the upscaled image. FANTASTIC!!!!! 4/5 stars.
