Rating: Date: 15-03-2007 The Sony RDR-HXD1065 is identical to the the top-rated RDR-HXD860 DVD recorder, except that the HXD1065 has a whopping 250 Gbytes of hard drive capacity, compared to 160 Gbytes for the HXD860. Read our review of the RDR-HXD860 to find out why we have awarded these two machines 5 stars. Just note that the RDR-HXD1065 is very expensive at the moment - overpriced in fact - and is likely to fall in price in the coming months. Shop around for a good deal and it will be worth the money, but don't pay crazy prices for this machine. If you really must have a 250 Gbyte disk, consider the equally outstanding Panasonic DMR-EX85EB-S as an alternative.
