Reviewed by drhook on 29/07/2006 Experienced locking up issues, especially when deletign files from HDD. Only cure is a re boot which, as mentioned before can take 10 mins. It would rate as a good machine if it weren't for this. JVC won't be on my shopping list ever again. Rating:
Reviewed by David Coles on 05/11/2005 Mine has worked perfectly no locking up or anything. DVD playback is excellent as is recording. Once you've used it or a while it is simple to operate. The manual could be better and made easier to understand. Rating:
Reviewed by Anon on 19-09-2005 No probs with mine, outclasses the rest at a great price. features galore Rating:
Reviewed by Subterraneo on 12-07-2005 When it works, it works well. Quality is excellent at SP setting and it is logical to use. However, in common it seems with other JVC DVD/HDD recorders, it suffers from a 'locking up' that is only curable by disconnecting from the mains supply. Then it can take up to 10 minutes runnning through the 'loading' process before it will function again. Not much fun if trying to record a program - even worse if recording to a DVD; it will be corrupted and unusable. Basically, this unit cannot be relied upon to perform its basic functions. It has already been returned to JVC for repair once and not only came back with the same problem but also had a damaged front cover. JVC do not seem to understand or care about the concept of customer service. Avoid. Rating:
