Reviewed by PR on 22/01/2007 Don't buy this machine. Bought in Feb 2005 after best buy recommendation in Which. Problem with sound in December 2005 and returned to Comet who accepted it was a known problem and was repaired under warranty. Problem with loading Jan 2006 and contacted JVC direct. JVC changed the machine under swapout but new machine had the same problem. About to swapout for the second time. I am very angry that JVC continued to supply a machine with a known fault and am not optomistic that the latest replacement will not suffer from the same problem. Would not recommend to anyone and will not be buying JVC in future. Rating:
Reviewed by RH on 05/01/2006 Simple message,
Don`t buy one, this machine is useless. It went wrong after a couple of months showing "loading". The dealer took 2 months to fix it. It has now gone wrong again, and shows "no disc". Back to the repair shop.
How do manufacturers get away with ripping the public off with such usless
merchandise?. Rating:
Reviewed by alwyn odgers on 17-07-2005 At first DVD drawer got stuck press buttons from the manual leave on overnight then dvd was ejected.finally as others have said it got locked in with message "loading" asked for a refund from qvc waiting. Agree brilliant when it works but who wants a product you have to be apprehensive that it will work when you need it. Rating:
Reviewed by Walter Gibbs on 23-02-2005 Purchased the JVC DR-M10 DVD Recorder from ecost Dec 2004. Loading bug appeared after 3 weeks of use. Sent it to JVC Cypress, Ca. Jan 18th. Have not heard from them in 4 weeks. Finally got the phone number from JVC main office to call JVC Cypress. What a hassle. Now they can not find it. The hell with JVC.If you don't believe it, you call Jvc and watch the run around you get. Never will buy any big ticket item online again. The few bucks you save is NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION. I overnighted it and insured it. Now I hope they can't find the damned thing. Rating:
Reviewed by Broer on 12-01-2005 I've the 3rd player. Problems occured, it start reading disk and than crashes ("loading"...). Also the screen on my JVC LCD is not steady (even when playing a music CD). Last week I was trying a copy of TROY. The sound was hicking and the RX-F10S was continuously switch between the kind of input. Rating:
Reviewed by R Parker on 01-01-2005 This machine works OK on DVD-R/RW but DOES NOT work with RAM. Spurious errors proclaim the discs (I have tried many) are unreadable after one recording. As the RAM feature was the reason I bought this machine I am not happy. This was purchased for Chrismas but JVC Customer Support have been closed from Christmas Eve to 4th Jan - get your act together JVC! Rating:
Reviewed by AL on 29-12-2004 After 1 month, the JVC DR-M10 suddenly stopped and started flashing the message "loading". I sent it in for service twice and still have the same bug. Rating:
Reviewed by Geoff on 10-12-2004 Have had product for 4 months & has worked very well till problem developed when system kept displaying 'Loading', I have now found out this is a common problem which requires Factory upgrade. Now have a problem where channels can not be viewed or recorded. Very Good product (when it works). Rating:
