why does it take so long to load a dvd

Unit keeps freezing and has to be disconected from mains to rectify,also it's very noisy-when it works it works well picture quality is fairly good , the unit has plenty of video and audio inputs and looks nice but I suppose you get what you pay for!

Developed so many faults, took it back to Tesco and changed it for a sony GX210. Good move

It's gone back to Tesco. It detects power failures that do not exist, it whirrs trying to detect disks that are there, it cannot erase properly and it skips during playback for reasons unknown. I am sadly returning to VHS!
