Rubbish. Advertised as multi-region, is nothing of the sort. Unlocking it involves a complex routine involving expensive 3rd party equipment. Or you can take it into Sony and have them to it for £50! The same price as buying the thing in the first place. Why Sony has made it so hard to unlock is a complete mystery. In these days and times, totally inexcusable. Suffice to say - steer well clear.

Just got one Today, but its not playing my DivX DVDs, checking the manual I see it state that High quality DivX of more then 2Gb Cannot be played. On Most of the DVD RW I get messege "Data Error" same DVDs being played on my old dvd player with no Issue(Apex for 20US$, The Unit Don't have a USB or mempry cards slot wich is Normal to find on players today.

I got one recently too, Bur the unfortunate thing is it is nor region free. and I could not find any coe to unlock it.

I bought one yesterday - the quality is excellent!!! Does anybody knows how to change from american region code to european? Thanks for your help.
