The Samsung SV-DVD640 will not always play DVD-R,DVD+R,CD-R or photo CD. You can put a disc in one day and it may play it, another time it will not recognise the disc. It will however play DVD+RW with no problem. I have taken the machine to be repaired when it was new and was told it was ok. This is not the case. Also the multi region may not work sometimes and has to be re-set. Cleaning the player with a DVD cleaning disc makes no difference. This player simply does not do what it is supposed to do.
