Easy to setup and great picture quality from RGB SCART. But using EPG causes tuner to lose signal and even crash the box. Volume control only
works for Freeview and sound out of sync on DVD playback.
I've searched the Mustek sites and can't find the firmware update refered
to by Peter B anywhere.
All-in-all a great disapointment so far, maybe if I can find the firmware update it will sort out some of the problems.

This is a good choice if you need both DVB and DVD in the one box. Unit
seems of decent quality build and easy to set up (when you first switch it on you are lead through the process by an one-screen wizard.
DVD plays region 2 DVD's but there is a hack avalible on the internet to make it region free (so can play all region DVD's).
Unit has a nice assortment of sockets at the back including two scarts. Scart lead is not included in the package but other cables are.
The freeview part of the unit works OK, HOWEVER UK teletext and subtitles are NOT supported at this point in time. Good thing is that "apparently"
this is being worked upon and will be avalible as a firmware upgrade in
the future according to the German based Mustek support (I'm taking this with a pinch of salt but would be pleased if I'm wrong). This also means
NO nice interactive red button so often mentioned in TV programs. I had updated firmware from the original on the unit and it's very easy - download from the website, burn to CD, insert CD into the DVD player and let the unit update itself. Radio via DVB is supported as are 7 day guides for both TV and Radio.
I bought mine for £80.00 in a Sale that Maplins had, and consider that a
fair price but would NOT recommend paying more than that for the shortcomings mentioned above.
