Fuji FinePix S9600 Zoom

Product Rating

Fuji FinePix S9600 Zoom The Fuji FinePix S9600 Zoom is an upgrade to the S9500 model. It still has the same number of megapixels and the same optical and digital zoom ratios but Fuji have improved the LCD size, image sharpness and low light autofocus. Not as good as reviews would have you belive, when viewed at 100% pics are not that sharp (have noticed this on most fuji super ccd cameras since), startup time is fast ,it handles nicely, RAW is very slow(7-10 secs between shots). Focusing can be inaccurate at higher zooms, eats batteries (you definately need NiMh 2500 minimum). Zooms is good ISO 80 to 200 acceptable, above this it does get noisy, ISO 1600 is a joke as is the anti shake option. A dedicated external flash would have been nice.

As long as you stick to iso 100 and give this camera good light its ok, otherwise i find to much noise creeps in.
